He has had great success treating Post Hepatic Neuralgia, Carpal Tunnel, and Post Stroke recovery in the Pain and Palliative Care outpatient facility at the Phillips Ambulatory Care Center and Phil and another Fellow regularly treat Pulmonary conditions like COPD, Asthma, and Scleraderma in a Community-Style Acupuncture group in the Pulmonary Rehabilitation department. Like the rest of the Fellows, he also rotates through Surgery, Family Medicine and Oncology on occasion.
Phil volunteers with the Global Alternative Healthcare Project, (GAHP) a group that provides Chinese Medical aid to communities in need internationally. Locally he treats Actors, Dancers, and Musicians with the Actor’s Fund sponsored Al Hirschfeld clinic, in Manhattan.
